Two Month Smiles!

David is already two months old. He is all smiles--especially when you touch his nose and make funny noises. :) Or maybe he is grinning at Mom and Dad because they are so goofy. We found out that he's in the 90th percentile for height. Apparently 90% of babies his age are shorter than he is. Way to grow David! He can be found sucking on as much of his hand as he can fit in his mouth (much to Mom's shigrin). We often wake up to chomping noises--he's asleep but sucking rather loudly. The pacifier gets lost and the fist finds its way in there. We'll see if Mom and Dad can combat this but he's been doing it since his first ultrasound at 17 weeks!

I found that if a baby can pacify themselves you have a very happy baby and can get so much more done in a day! I had one thumb sucker and they were my best baby. Slept through the night earlier, better, happier during the day, etc.

Go for it David!

D--I saw this really cute idea: A mom puts her baby in the same place each month on her 'bday' and puts a cute little sign next to her that says: 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, etc. So the age is right there in the picture with the baby. It was darling. Just wanted to pass it along.

Can you believe how fast they grow? We started rice today (mainly in the hope that spitting up with become less frequent). Make sure that you treasure this time and all the things you can still get done while they sleep and are immobile. Zach started rolling over and all I did today was go and put him back on his back when he got frustrated with being on his belly. The joy of motherhood!
