FOUR MONTHS OLD!

Well it's certain our little baby isn't a newborn anymore. We continue to be fascinated by every little new thing he does. Watching him grow is fun but a little sad at the same time. He's a sweetheart.

Jessica's Shower

My good friend Jessica (we grew up in the same ward) is getting married in five weeks and her bridal shower was lots of fun. I am so excited for the upcoming wedding. Congrats Jessica.

Look At What I Found

I was working on the computer David started out playing with his toys but I turned around and he was playing with my shoe! He's already getting into things--the other day he ripped Brad's anatomy course manual. Yikes! He doesn't crawl yet but does this thing I can only describe as a cross between "inchworming" and army-crawling. He is defiantly growing up.

The USS Boxer & The Beach!

We couldn't take a picture of the ship from afar--apparently it has something to do with national security.

I'm not sure I'd want to drill teeth on a carrier but hey whatever works! Brad was excited to find out the Boxer was scheduled to go to El Salvador (where he served his mission) for humanitarian work.

We ended up going to the beach on a perfect day. We can't seem to get enough of San Deigo, especially Coronado Island. We went there in 2006 and I think we'll find excuses to go again.

Old Town & The Mormon Batallion

My Dad had never been to the Mormon Battalion visitors ' center so we went. Unfortunately they were remodeling so there was not much (besides a short movie) to see. Can you believe that Mormon pioneers had a lot to do with the birth of San Deigo?

We headed to San Deigo for a Navy recruiting trip. We were the last to know that David wasn't allowed on as much of the trip as we originally thought so we found fun stuff to do while Brad was off learning what being a dentist for the Navy would be like.

Happy Birthday Grandma Kathy

We started the week with Stake Conference and a family party for my Mom. She turned 52 Sunday. We had a great dinner followed by brownies and ice cream...much better than cake. Happy Birthday Mom! (And, yes, she did give David more applesauce.)

We enjoyed a visit from Brad's brother Spenser and family this past week. Their oldest son Thomas had spring break so they came down to Phoenix. It's been about a 18 months since the last time we saw them so it was fun, fun, fun! I was glad to finally meet Zachary who was born this past November. David and Zach don't look alike at all but it was great to get them together and see all the fun things Zach can do. (And anticipate what David will do within six weeks....)

Brad liked having all 5 brothers and his Dad at the same priesthood broadcast. We watched the Sunday sessions of general conference and also took family pictures because all the Cammack children were together for the first time since 2004. I think we got some good ones but I realized just how much I've gained so that was a little depressing. Blame it on the baby (!)

I loved having the nieces and nephews over for a swim two different times. It was good to catch up with Nadia and visit with Amy too. Brad was "sick" Wednesday so he came to the movies with all of us. I didn't think I'd like it but "Horton Hears a Who" was great. Worth seeing for sure. I even went to Encanto park with some of the clan and enjoyed the fabulous weather. Brad took Friday off of work and the whole family spent the day at Lynx Lake in Prescott. There were cameras galore but this was really the only picture I managed to take...I think a side effect from realizing just how much weight I have to get rid of! Anyhow we really had a wonderful and busy week. It was great to get to know Thomas, Olivia, and Zach a little bit better.

New Tricks

I found David half under the couch this past week. I wondered how on earth he got there...he isn't crawling properly yet but does manage to move around lots. It made for cute pictures. Also he's discovered his toes! He can't put them in his mouth most of the time but tries relentlessly. And of course falls asleep holding on to them too. I'm sorry to be the ooohing and ahhing parent but these little babies are so much fun to watch!

Applesauce?!

I was over at my Mom's this past Monday night and she decided that David needed something other than milk so she started feeding him applesauce! Count on grandma to do whatever she wants. :) At first David didn't get it but he quickly learned to open his mouth for the spoon. He didn't even spit much out. It was kind of cute. So now I guess he gets a treat when he goes to grandma's house because we aren't starting solid foods for awhile yet. Oh my.

April Fools!

Cupcakes? Nope meatloaf with dyed mashed potatoes on top! Can you imagine biting into what you thought was a cupcake and getting meatloaf?! How gross. We laughed and laughed about it. Mini hamburgers.....or a peppermint patty between two vanilla wafers with dyed frosting (red and yellow for ketchup and mustard) and green coconut for lettuce. There were even sesame seeds on top stuck on with Karo syrup. They looked so cute all lined up and I forgot to take a picture. I had to stop Dustin (my bil) from eating this so I could get a nice photo of the last one.

Sushi and grilled cheese....or rice krispie treats and toasted pound cake!

Noelene (my mil) was in charge of food for a relief society activity that happened to be on April 1st. I found some funny April fools recipes on the internet. We laughed and laughed as we found more funny food pranks to play. Apparently the food was a big hit the sisters really enjoyed all the jokes...in fact this was all that was left! They gobbled up the treats that looked like dinner food and the dinner food that looked like treats.
