8th Grade Promotion

Our school district in Arizona has K-8 schools so 8th grade graduation (or promotion as it is supposed to be called) is a really BIG deal. For me that event was bigger than the ceremony when I finished BYU! Anyhow my little sister Brooke was 'promoted' and she was the ROCK STAR of the whole ceremony. She played the harp during the processional, delivered a wonderful speech, and received the prestigious principals' award.

Preschool Graduation

I enjoyed attending graduation for the preschool I've been working for. I worked there last fall and a few days a week for the last five weeks or so. Some of the kids have really progressed; it is AMAZING what you can teach a group of four and five year olds if you work at it. Because of some legal thingy with the City of Peoria we can't take personal pics of the kids (especially to post on the internet!) so I posed with the prodigal Miss Amy. I must admit she is my favorite and I am sad David won't be able to go to her school.

David's Cousins

David's cousins were each taking turns holding him...they just passed him down the line. It made me a little emotional because I don't know how many cousins he'll really ever see when we move...sigh...

Danielle is 20! (and mothers day)

Danielle started the big 2-0 with a sassy new haircut. SO CUTE! The theme for her gifts was London trip; lots of traveling stuff and clothes for the rainy weather. She had a fun day.

Happy Birthday Brad!

All the blowing candles ones were blurry; sorry.

Brad is now 25! He says the only thing 25 is good for is less expensive car insurance and rental cars...glad he was so excited. He got SPOILED. My parents did cupcakes and presents on Thursday night, Brad and I went out to Westgate on his birthday, and his parents took the adults for dinner at Havanna Cafe on Saturday night. He had a much deserved break for the first weekend in a long time; but he was pretty tired after all the partying. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRAD!

(Belated) Family Photos

The whole Cammack clan got together a month ago; it was family picture time. Brad's sister Amy does great work. You can see more of her photos at her business website--amyleephotography.com. Brad and I have this strange affinity for cowboy/cowgirl stuff. It's the only thing we've been for Halloween since we've been married. I think it all goes back to Brad purchasing cowboy boots on our honeymoon and deciding they are the most comfortable shoes ever. It could be related to my obsession with country music. Who knows!

Visiting w/ Natalie

I didn't remember to take a picture, but I really enjoyed a visit with my cousin Natalie. She was in town having engagement pictures taken by a very special photographer & close friend of her family. Natalie finished at BYU and moved back to California in 2006. She returned to law school right after Brad and I graduated and moved to Arizona in 2007. We had not really seen each other for almost two years! (I don't really count funerals.) Brad took care of David and we all just chatted the night away. It was a nice treat for me, especially since I won't be able to attend the wedding. I got to know her fiance Robert better too. Natalie is getting married in the New Port Beach Temple a few days before Brad starts dental school in Boston. Congrats Natalie and Robert!
